Landing a Pacer in a field
C172 Tailwheel Flyby.
Gear up landing in a 172RG
Turbo prop DC3 stuff
Champion 7GCB flyby
Slipping in over some trees. Yeh, The touchdown stinks. Have had two 150 hp. Pacers, great planes. I learned to fly in one in 1979, put the same plane on floats in Petersburg Alaska. Sold her in Juneau Alaska. This is the 2nd Pacer.
This is a C172 tailwheel conversion. Eventually installed C180 gear on it. Great plane, easy to fly but not a 180. Flew 180's in Alaska on wheels and floats, tremndous machine.
Glenn Conner, a great pilot and instuctor. A close buddy of mine. Gear problems in a C172RG. News footage of Glenn putting her down past some Turbine DC3's and IXD. Glenn had the tower call me at home warning me of the problem, for it was my flight school airplane. Glenn passed on spring of 2002. I miss him.
Another buddy and my DC3 piston and DC3TP instructor, Bill Dempsay. Bill is a legend in the fire bombing industry, typed in 20 or so planes. Here we start a PT6-65 powered DC3.
Probably the plane I most regret parting with. Sold her to a guy in Alaska. 150 hp, with flaps. I used to tow gliders with it and land where I probably shouldn't have.
Pacer Low pass.
